July 4th marks Independence Day, a federal holiday in the United States that celebrates the adoption of the Declaration of Independence which happened on July 4, 1776.

Many Americans honor this historical day with parades, fireworks, BBQs, and of course some red, white, and blue! Macaroni Kid has rounded up the best local spots for you and your family to participate in the festivities.

Fireworks Shows in the Denver Metro Area

FRIDAY, JULY 2

Independence Celebration (DENVER) Tickets range $6 - $14

Four Mile Historic Park - Go back in time with prairie games, live music, food trucks, crafts, and family activities. Stay after sunset to enjoy the Glendale fireworks show.


SATURDAY, JULY 3

4th of July Family Festival & Fireworks (ENGLEWOOD) FREE!

Belleview Park & Cornerstone Park - Festivities begin at 5 PM. Enjoy local business vendors and food trucks. Bring a picnic dinner and blankets to watch the fireworks! The fireworks will start at 9:15 PM.

Brakes Plus Jet Car Nationals (MORRISON) Tickets start at $18.

Bandimere Speedway - Enjoy 290mph jet cars, drag racing, troop salute, and a breath-taking fireworks show. The pre-race ceremony begins at 6 PM, and the show starts promptly at 7 PM. Fireworks will launch at approximately 9:45 PM.

Colorado Rockies vs St. Louis Cardinals (DENVER) Tickets start at $30.

Coors Field - You may be familiar with the saying, "Baseball, hot dog, apple pie, and Chevrolet, they go together in the good ol' USA." Get your fill of baseball and hot dogs at Coors Field in downtown Denver. Guests will receive handheld American flags. Stick around after each game for a post-game fireworks show.


SUNDAY, JULY 4

Colorado Rockies vs St. Louis Cardinals (DENVER) Tickets start at $30.

Coors Field - You may be familiar with the saying, "Baseball, hot dog, apple pie, and Chevrolet, they go together in the good ol' USA." Get your fill of baseball and hot dogs at Coors Field in downtown Denver. Stick around after each game for a post-game fireworks show.

Elitch Gardens Fireworks (DENVER) Tickets start at $49.99. FIREWORKS HAVE BEEN CANCELED FOR 2021.

Fourth of July Spectacular (AURORA) FREE!

Bicentennial Park - Fireworks will light up the sky at 9:30 PM. The Aurora Municipal Center will be closed to spectators this year. There will not be a programmed event. All are encouraged to watch the 30-minute display from their homes or nearby parks.

4th at Firestone (FIRESTONE) FREE!

Miner's Park - Start the day with a morning parade at 10 AM. Then enjoy a festival of food trucks, beer garden, and events including live music and a magic show. Fireworks will be visible at 9:30 PM.

Greeley Stampede Independence Day Fireworks (GREELEY)

Island Grove Park - Fireworks will be visible at approximately 9:45 PM.

Fireworks in Castle Rock (CASTLE ROCK) FREE!

Santa Fe Quarry - Fireworks will shoot off at sundown (around 9:30 PM) from the butte above Red Hawk Ridge Golf Course.

JULY 4 - HRCA Independence Day 5K (HIGHLANDS RANCH)

Highlands Ranch Town Center - Run or walk 5K. As part of the "Kettlebell Cash" Series, find a red, white, and blue kettlebell out on the course & bring it to the finish line to score a $100 cash prize.

JULY 4 - Liberty Run (DENVER)

Wash Park - Gear up in red, white, and blue attire for a chance to win a fun prize. Walk/run 4 miles. Kids (8 and under) may participate in a FREE Firecracker Fun Run.

JULY 4 - Park Hill 4th of July Parade (DENVER)

Park Hill - With more than 50 groups of floats, marching bands, classic cars, and exciting characters, this one-mile parade is one for the whole community. The parade starts at Dexter Street and ends at Krameria Street.
